Meet My Characters - Updated 11/03/25

I have several Oblivion characters that are permanent fixtures in my game. They all have their own backstories and personalities, and some of them have houses made just for them. The ones without custom homes will get them eventually. I have a few that fight the same way, multiple mages and archers etc, but it's the backstory and personality that makes them so different. I may ignore one for a long time, before playing them like crazy for again after a while. In my mind they all exist in the word together, but of course, in reality, they are sadly in separate save files.

Any characters that are available for download will be linked below their bios, as well as their homes if they have them.

Luna Starshine:

Luna is my main character, and they are based off of me. Both they and I are nonbinary. Luna is of unknown elven origin - even they themself do not know where they came from. They are a mage and a scholar, and have dedicated research areas in their home in the West Weald - Honeysuckle Hideaway. Although still considered somewhat young for an elf, Luna is the Nerevarine and Archmage of both the Vvardenfell and Cyrodiil Mages Guilds, as well as a member of the Archeology Guild. When Luna gets angry, static electricity flies off their body, and may shock anyone too close. They can channel the electricity to form a magical shield around them, which has a very cool visual effect (like a storm atronach). They mainly uses electrical destruction magic, which gets a boost when this static shield is up. They are optimistic and generally cheerful. Luna is a worshipper of Azura. Remodeling Luna's house is my pet project.

><><><><><><><

Suzania:

Suzania is a character who, at least in personality, is based off of my mom. My mom is legally blind, so Suzania is blind as well. My mom lost her vision because of a genetic eye disease, but Suzania was blinded by a childhood alchemy accident when one of her mother's potions exploded. Suzania is a very gifted Breton mage and has learned to use her magic to "see" the world around her. She lives in Shadeleaf Retreat, a small cottage near Shadeleaf Copse in the West Weald. Suzania loves to collect magical trinkets, as her magical sight gives her insight into that which others cannot see. She is a Master-Wizard in the Cyrodiil Mages Guild, and works closely on the council with Luna. She is a follower of the Nine Divines and honors Mara especially. Suzania is kind-hearted, but also blunt. While she will never be cruel with her words, she struggles to put up with situations she feels are pointless or wrong.

><><><><><><><

Freya Windsinger:

Freya is a Nord warrior and paladin of the Nine Divines. She feels especially close to Mara, and always stops by the Chapel of Mara when in Bravil to talk to Marz and pray at the Alter of the Divines. She is on a holy quest to become the Divine Crusader. Freya wears heavy armor and fights with a shield and longsword. She lives in Mara's Grace Cottage in the West Weald, and adventures and shares her home with Vilja and Kyle Fergus (companions from mods). She and Kyle have recently fallen into a romantic relationship. Freya is warm-hearted, and will risk all to help her friends. She's a bit over-protective of her younger brother, Fjord, but he understands and they are very close.

><><><><><><><

Fjord Windsinger:

Fjord is Freya Windsinger's younger brother. He recently left the Imperial Legion to adventure across Cyrodiil. Fjord is easygoing, quick to laugh, and feels a strong need to help anyone in need. He is a new recruit of the Fighters Guild, and a follower of the Nine Divines. While he isn't as devout as Freya, he has a deep connection to Stendarr. He fights in heavy armor and wields a battleaxe. The Fjord in my game is currently a companion that adventures along side Luna. The two of them are in a romantic relationship and they share Luna's home. Fjord loves to joke around is is generally a very cheerful and happy person. He is prone to putting himself in danger to protect Luna, which can be a sore point between them as Luna doesn't feel they need protecting, but Fjord is strong enough for the danger to not actually be all that dangerous.

><><><><><><><

Alice:

Alice is a creation of Sheogorath - a cross between a Hunger Daedra and a Breton woman. As is expected from a creation of the Prince of Madness, she is completely out of her mind. She often hears voices no one else can hear, and is afraid of melting in the rain. Alice says that invisible butterflies lead her on adventures. She fights with her claws, channeling magic through them as she strikes. She is very prone to suddenly changing her mind, and has a hard time staying on topic. She has a cottage called Butterfly Hall in the Shivering Isles in Mania.

><><><><><><><

S'dara:

S'dara is a Khajiit alchemist who owns an alchemy shop called S'dara's Cauldron in Leyawiin. She has an enchanted mortar & pestle that summons a full alchemy set when needed, and she never leaves the shop without it. Lately, she's been thinking of taking her business on the road and seeing a bit more of Cyrodiil. She fights with a bow poisoned with deadly handmade poisons, and is secretly a member of the Thieves Guild. Ahdarji is her second cousin, but they are not close due to Ahdarji's rather unpleasant views on Argonians. The version of S'dara in my game is currently an NPC who runs the shop.

><><><><><><><

Jeelia-Tora:

Jeelia-Tora is an Argonian Shaman who got a bit carried away when licking the Hist Trees as a hatchling. Instead of legs and feet/claws, she has a long snake-like tail that she slithers along on. She has recently crossed the border from Blackmarsh, after leaving her tribe to have adventures in Cyrodiil. She brought only her tribal armor and the bow and arrows she made back in Blackmarsh. Jeelia is a kind of jack-of-all-trades, and is thinking about joining up with the Adventurer's Guild in Leyawiin. She is always looking out for herself, but will help her fellow Argonians whenever she can. She isn't overly fond of Imperials, and they are even more distrusting of her than other Argonians because of her coiling tail. For long journeys, she will shapeshift into a crow to fly quickly over long distances. She lives Marsh Reed Hut, a small dwelling in Blackwood.

><><><><><><><

Lucky Otis:

Lucky Otis is an Imperial who has spent the last several years as a beggar and pickpocket in the Imperial City, but has finally scraped enough gold together to set off out into the world. He's a member of the Thieves Guild and has very sticky fingers. Otis fights with a shortsword and the bits of armor he has managed to cobble together. He's headed to Bravil first, as he hears the guild has a solid presence there and figures he has to start his adventure somewhere. He plans to set up a little shack for himself near the city, but doesn't have much of a plan beyond that, except to wander the land and help himself to everyone else's riches along the way.

><><><><><><><

Rano Athrys:

Rano Athrys is a young Telvanni Magister, working as an abolitionist from within Great House Telvanni. He values freedom above all, and that includes for those enslaved by his House members. He doesn't go around shouting his views from the rooftops, but rather works with sabotage and sneakiness. Like most Telvanni, he is hungry for magical power, and as long as the other person has a fair chance against him he has no problem climbing the ladder by violence, as is the way of House Telvanni. He is a conjurer and begins each battle by summoning a daedra to fight by his side. He wears heavily armored robes and uses a two-handed blunt staff as his weapon of choice. When sneaking around behind the other Telvanni's backs, he uses a ring enchanted with invisibility. Rano was born with the curse of stunted magicka, and so has had to become very proficient with alchemy to make up for his lack of magical regeneration.

><><><><><><><

Morllia:

Morllia is a necromancer and Dark Brotherhood member who has embraced vampirism to become immortal and immensely powerful. While she wanted eternal life, she didn't want to become a rotting lich as so many other necromancers wish to do. Vampirism was seductive and powerful, and so she went to Vicente Valtieri in the Brotherhood and asked to be turned. She works in the darkness to seek more magical power and to learn more of the undead. Morllia is a member of the Arcane University in the Imperial City, but mainly uses her privileges there to hide necromancy tomes and scrolls where curious Apprentices might find them. She hides notes around the University and Guildhalls filled with riddles telling of secret places for necromancers to meet.

The Progression of My Characters

Some of my characters have evolved quite a bit sense their creation. I was looking back through my older screenshots, and was amused at how different they look now as apposed to when I originally thought them up. So I thought I'd post some pictures showing the evolution of my characters.

I just like looking back at how far my characters have come, and in some cases, you can tell my modding skills have improved as well. (Oh god the background in the original Luna pic. I thought that house wasn't bad at the time, but looking back, it was barely decorated and almost completely furnished in tan..... And the half finished Wonderland Cottage.)

If anyone has any thoughts on my characters, or how they've evolved over time, feel free to comment. I'd like to know what people think of them.

S'Dara's Cauldron - A Race, Home, and Roleplaying Mod

S'Dara's Cauldron

S'Dara's Cauldron originated as a rather plain alchemy shop in Leyawiin, run by a Khajiit named S'Dara who gave the player a quest to find some mushrooms in exchange for an enchanted mortar & pestle. The shop slowly grew, as did the personality of the proprietor, until I couldn't just leave S'Dara as an NPC to be quickly forgotten. She became a new addition to my group of permanent characters, and I have slowly been rearranging her humble shop into a lovely player home with a few nice features.

Original S'Dara the Shopkeeper:

The shop has been turned into quite a nice player home, but still maintains the appearance of being a shop, with the pretty sign outside, and the ingredient storage doubling as a shop counter. S'Dara's living quarters are partitioned off to one side, and the rest is the shop/alchemy work area. The Teddy Bear can be used like an Alter of the Nine, but with no infamy issues.

The Living Quarters

The Counter of Drawers

There are a lot of paintings hanging all over the shop, and an alchemy chart on the wall in an alcove dedicated to experimental alchemy. The mortar & pestle on the table in that area will open a static alchemy menu when activated.

Experimental Alcove

The large alchemical sink on in the main room is very special. If you have the correct ingredients in the correct quantities, you can brew special potions that are not only very powerful, but which can be sold through dialog when in certain shops and buildings. While in Mages Guild lobbies, alchemy shops, and general traders, you will have the option to sell the special potions for 100 gold each. You can become a traveling alchemy merchant! =D

The Sink of Destiny

The exterior is a cross between a storefront and a cozy cottage. There is a small flower garden in the front, and the shop's sign is hanging by the entrance. There is a map marker for easy travel, but as it is right by the Leyawiin gates, this is a bit redundant, but whatever. Now you can travel right to your door step.

Shop or Cottage?

S'Dara is a custom Khajiit race. Basically, a standard Khajiit made to be a lot prettier. She has claws on her hands, and paws instead of feet. The paws are done through equipment.

She has her own custom equipment, consisting of her armor (and a clothing version for options), her bow, and her arrows, as well as a custom pendant made from a potion. She also has a wig giving her brown dreadlocks, and a hood with a few dreads hanging out the front.

There are tons of paintings in the shop, and so I strongly recommend:

S'Dara's Cauldron WIP - Race, Home, and Roleplay

I'm working on a mod that will add a custom Khajiit race (same as vanilla, but prettier), a player home, and the chance to become a traveling alchemy merchant.

So, originally I just made an alchemy shop with a Khajiit shopkeeper named S'Dara. Then I made S'Dara into one of my permanent characters. But the shop was still there, and it was hers after all. So now I'm working on making the shop into a cozy home/shop. The shop part isn't functional, but I want to keep it a shop for roleplay. Eventually, I plan to figure out how to script everything so that S'Dara can sell custom potions from the shop to people around Cyrodiil through dialog.

Some of the Potion Bottles:

I've also spent all evening and night working on custom clothes for S'Dara. They of course have the Khajiit paws instead of boots. There is a wig that will give her brown dreadlocks, an alchemy themed outfit, a hood, and two amulets. There is a version of the wig with goggles on her head, and a version of the hood in which she's wearing the goggles. (I didn't get a screenshot of that one....)

One of the amulets has a jar of fire salts around her neck, and the other has a potion. Both have a second necklace that's an odd sort of creature face. I like it.

Outfit Bits:

I hope this preview peaks your interest, because I've been working on this for going on two days straight, and I'm proud of what I've got done so far. I didn't include pictures of the interior because it is still pretty bare. Also, I will do a bit more landscaping, so don't be discouraged by the sad row of lavender. It will get better.

Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions or ideas.
